I am looking for any information available about my gggrandmother
Elizabeth
Sellers, born Laurel Cty, KY, Sept. 23, 1823, moved to Lawrence Cty, IN, with
her family. Father was Lewis Sellers, mother's name unknown. Elizabeth
married Frances B. Sutherland, Nov. 20, 1845.

Thanks for any help available,
Debra, NY

Thanks, Marie, for your tips. Elizabeth Sellers Sutherland did stay in Lawrence County, IN. I have her death record along with her husband's. They both died in Bedford, Lawrence, IN. I don't have proof of Frances' middle name, however, it may have been Bryan or Bryant - a maternal line family name. Again, thanks for your help, Debra, NY

Marie:
Yes, you may be right! On Elizabeth Sellers death record, her mother was
listed as MOORE, first name not listed. Also I had the information from
family history that Lewis died Sept. 20, 1846 in Shilo Church, Lawrence Cty,
IN. This is near Fayetteville, evidently.

Lewis Sellers is in the Laurel Cty, KY 1830 census - gone by 1840. 2 males
under 8, 1 male 30 to 40, 1 female 8 to 10, and 1 female 20 to 30 listed.

Regarding the Sutherlands, my line originated in this country from Alexander
Sutherland, British Soldier during the Rev. War, settled in Wythe Cty, VA.
His descendants in my line went from Ashe Cty, NC to IN. Do you think they
might be the same line as yours?
