 DONALD,
Do you have copy of his Civil War file?
That is where the exact info should be=
I believe you can order on line???
but, I don't have all the numbers, etc, I usually just mail in the form and
takes
a month!

YOU Need it for EVERY name on those papers-
takes a month, but , do it
OR, the person who sent info probably has - have them send copies

In answer to your latest E-mail, the place of birth for A.J.Sellers comes
from
an old copy of an obituary in some local paper:  It states:

What does some local paper , mean - where are you,. them, etc, town, county?
etc-marie, iowa)

Andrew Jackson Sellrs was born November 14, 1835 in Polk County, Ilinois
and
died September 14, 1916.  He was married to Miss Catherine Watts of Bond
County, Illinois on December 4, 1861.  To this union were born nine
children,
5 of whom remain.  They are: (see previous Email), please.

The article continues:  Mr. Sellers came to Missouri in the fall of 1884
and
settled on a farm in Bates county where with the exception of five years,
he
made his home until his death.  Funeral services were conducted at the
home on
Friday, September 15 at 10 o'clock by Rev. L. W. Keele of Butler and the
body
was laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.

That is all the article said and the only reference I have as to his
place of
birth. Thanks again,  Don Sellers

town, country? etc- marie,iowa
I have no idea what paper the obit apeard in, I would think in the area
wher
he died. He died 14-09-1916 in Bond County, IL. I will follow upl on this
and
let you know when I get additional information
I do have a copy of the War Department Adjutant General's Office, record of
his military days. I'll get a better copy of it for you. Thanks for your
help.
Sinecerly don sellers. >fullbird@aol.com<

DON, thanks - I kinda thought Andrew Jackson Sellers died in MO - but, it
was his
son Rufus that died in MO and article was written about Rufus SELLERS?
Probably
Bates Co - didn't see anything in my Missouri info.
I don't know if the Attorney General Papers are the same thing as the
Pension
Papers, when he applied for pension, usually tells when/where enlisted,
when/who
married, sometimes kids, usually papers of several witness, etc. IF, we
don't have
this file - will be several pages 5-20 pages, IF not, advise, I'll find the
page
for you to order it.
BUT, right now, WE need the 1860 census for MONT CO, IL - lays on the top
of Bond
Co, Il =
1860 census= ANDREW SELLERS, page 197
>              DANIEL SELLERS, page 182
>              SAMUEL SELLLERS, page 196
1850 MONT CO CENSUS =
BARBBRA SELLERS, page 153
               HENRY SEERS, PAGE 156
1850 and 1860 may NOT be the same families-
BUT, I don't believe I have found Samuel and Daniel living with family in
1850 and
from memory they were both married here.
I don't have copies of these census and they are NOT on line! Must read
them
Thanks, marie, iowa

WELL, if that isn't a 'let down'= (the 1860 MONT CO, IL Census)
I still have NOT read PIKE CO, IL - NEED
And I'm about ready to try and read the actual census and check spellings
on =
1860 BOND CO, IL!
Will keep in touch - marie, iowa
