Being new to the list I have no way of knowing whether others are
researching my lines. Here are my research interests:
Jacob SELLERS was enumerated Duplin Co., NC
Jacob lived two houses
from Delila(h) WEST. Who were Jacob's spouse and children? Was Jacob a son
of/related to Elijah SELLERS of Duplin Co., NC?
A.C. SELLERS was enumerated 1840 Baker Co.,
GA at which time he was living
alone. What did the initials A.C. stand for?
Samuel SELLERS was enumerated Baker Co., GA
Who was Samuel's wife
who were their children?
Elijah SELLERS b NC ca 1813 was enumerated Baker
Co., GA 1850. Where in NC
was Elijah born? Who were his parents? Elijah married Susan WEST, daughter
of William and Anna Jane WEST.
Wright SELLERS married Miriam MERRITT Duplin
Co., NC and later moved to
Mitchell Co., GA. Who were Wright's parents?
Jesse SELLERS b GA was enumerated Baker Co.,
GA 1850. Jesse married Eliza
WEST b NC ca 1831 daughter of James E. WEST and unknown wife. It is
Jesse died during the Civil War. Does anyone have any proof/information of
In both NC and GA I am interested in any SELLERS/WEST connections.
BUT NEED AGES of kids - to prove- have you extracted?
My Sampson and Duplin Co, NC deeds only go to 1800/4 - Later ones may show
info on Wests -
There isn't much proving of families in the deeds - like some say my son,
Anything you can send/share with us would be appreciate Fran - I will try
add WEST info when I am extracting documents, census and post on our
I will try and reread some Sampson/Duplin - But, I don't believe much
I didn't extract WEST info from Wiregrass or as you state, maybe it wasn't

FRAN- Who is this - What County/St -?
We have a Syndey SELLERS in GA/=
marie , iowa
Have done no research on Sidney SELLERS/SELLARS, but he married into
family around the turn of the century (1900) and lived out his days in
Lowndes Co., GA. Family lore does not tell of his place of birth and do
recall census info.
Incidentally, the person listed as Gilson WEST (on a Baker
Co., GA census)
is actually Gipson/Gibson WEST. Gilson is either a misprint or a typo. He
was my third GrUncle and indeed lived in Burke Co., GA from 1820 (slightly
earlier, maybe 1817) to his move to Baker Co., GA late 1840's.
May I ask if you are the listowner of SELLERS-L?

Subject: SELLERS RESEARCHERS
I have yesterday obtained proof that both Elijah [b ca 1813] and Wright [two
possible years of birth: ca 1810 and ca1813] SELLERS were born in Sampson
County. Both died in Mitchell Co. GA. [That proof will be cited privately
for any interested persons. For descendants of both Elijah and Wright, I do
have additional information.]
My question: does any SELLERS researcher have a listing of SELLERS families
on the Sampson Co. census of both 1810 and 1820?
My theory is that Samuel SELLERS was father of Elijah as Samuel was the only
SELLERS in Baker Co., GA 1840 who was old enough to have fathered a child
1813. While I would like to have the names of any SELLERS in Sampson County
both 1810 and 1820, would especially appreciate having the household
compositions of any Samuel SELLERS in Sampson County 1810 and 1820.
Any help appreciated.
