CONRAD SELLERS - CIVIL WAR

The book I've referred to is called THE GEORGIANS - GENEALOGIES OF PIONEER
SETTLERS by Jeannette Holland Austin. The publisher is Clearfield and is
listed on the internet at genealogy-books.com/gpc.htm as I understand.
This book has info on the Prince family and it's relationship to the Fowlers.
There is also a book on Banks Co. cemeteries by Richard Chambers who can
be contacted through the Banks Chamber of Commerce. Of some help, too,
is the book THE HISTORY OF BANKS COUNTY, GA 1858-1976 by Julia -?- Mize,
which can also be found through the CofC.

Dear Cousins: The Banks County Historical Society is going to put a marker at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Banks County, Georgia in
Memory of our Great Grandfather, Coonrad Sellers. If you will remember, Coonrad was badly wounded in the Civil War and they sent him to
Kingston, Georgia hospital where he died. No burial place has been found unless it is in the HUGE Civil War Soldiers' cemetery at Kingston, Georgia.
As far as we know his body was not shipped home to Banks or Habersham County, Georgia, for burial. If there are any objections to this, please let
me know. The Historical Society of Banks County are placing this "IN MEMORY OF" marker FREE OF CHARGE. We will be notified of the
Dedication Service when they are ready to put the marker up. Will keep you all posted and please feel free to voice your opinion. Cousin and Double

Marie:

In the Reynolds Newsletters that I have been receiving from Leah Kaye
Reynolds, there is no mention of SELLERS in them.  However, Cousin Michael
(Mike) Sellers sent me an e-mail and told me that on ALLEN MOUNTAIN,
referred to in the Reynolds Newsletters as ALIEN MOUNTAIN, (ALLEN MOUNTAIN
is the correct name), there is a SELLERS ROAD and a NORTON HILL.  My
great-grandfather, Ephram Newton Sellers married Martha Jane Norton.
Martha
Jane Norton's parents were Lemuel Bratcher Norton and Nancy Reynolds.

We are all working diligently on this, including Betty Cooper, but Betty
has
just moved to Greenville, South Carolina, and probably has not had time to
get back into genealogy at the moment.  Betty also wonders if there is an
"Indian" connection with these families.

As things progress, we will be reporting any other SELLERS connection that
we find.
