My G-Grandfather John Sellers married a Sarah Ann Kelley
from Decatur county, Ga. Her Father George Kelley was born
1820 in Georgia and his father James Kelley was born 1797 in
South Carolina.

I am still trying to trace my g-g-grandfather. Possibility that
he was from Sampson N.C.. The 1850 census shows a John
Sellers son of Everritt Sellers and two sisters that match
my family. I need to look at the 1860 census to further my
search. I haven't had the time to visit the library.

Just thought that I'd pass this along for information on
the Kelley's

dau of George and Delilah Kelly, on July 27,
1879 in Decatur County, Georgia. The certificate
is recorded in Book B, page 323 in Decatur Co,
Probate.

              Looking for information on my ancestor John T (Treadwell) POITEVINT b ca
              1782 NC. He shows up in 1829 Decatur Co as a tax collector. His known
              children were: Alexander Poitevint b 1810 NC m Belinda Strickland, Jenet
              Poitevint b ca 1811 NC m John WATERS in Decatur Co & James Poitevint b
              1818 m Nancy West daughter of Gibson West. John T was most probably the
              son of Issac & Elizabeth Treadwell Poitevint of New Hanover Co NC. What
              happened to John T after 1831 when he was last a tax collector in Decatur Co?
              Did he move to Florida or did he pass away in Decatur Co? Son James was
              living with his older brother Alexander in the 1840 census. What happened to
              John & Jenet Poitevint WATERS? Who was John T's wife? Was John T the
              same person as the John Portervine in the 1820 Screven Co census? I have
              2300rd descendants of Antoine Poitevin Sr that came from France that this line
              descends from. I am waiting for solid proof on John T's connection to Issac
              Poitevint before I print this book. ANY help is greatly appreciated! Especially
              any deeds or records of John T in Decatur County.

John Horton abt 1890-91 she was b.Feb.26,1876 d.May 14,1950 John was
b.Dec.24,1875 d. Aug.26,1906 then she married a Sellers he died and she
married
another Sellers I think they were brother's.She buryed north of Cairo I
think
it is
Pleasent Grove Baptist Church Cemetary.You have Jerusha as NO 9 on your
charts.I will send you a GED on them as soon as i get them in my computer

I'm looking for anything on Sellers prior to 1850 through 1930. One of my
guncles stayed behind in Decatur and adjoining counties when the rest of
the
family moved to Al circa 1890. Joshua Sellers is the one I know of that
remained. I cannot connect him or any of his siblings to any older Sellers.
Joshua was born @ 1846.
