Red Rock township consists of all of town. 77, range 20, north of the Des Moines river. It is bounded on the north by Jasper county; on the east by Summit; on the south by Union, with the Des Moines river as its boundary line; and on the west by Perry.

Funeral services for Mildred Evelyn Blizzard, 93, were held Monday at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton with burial following in the Chariton Cemetery.

Mildred Evelyn Blizzard was born on, Dec. 9, 1910 in Chariton, the daughter of Bert and Caroline (Ambelang) Sellers. She attended and graduated school from Chariton. Following graduation, she married Millard Blizzard in Chariton on Nov. 1, 1939. They had two children.

Blizzard lived her entire life in Iowa, the last several years in Pleasantville. Prior to moving to the Pleasant Care Living Center, she had lived in Russell, Chariton, Lucas and Tracy. She helped her husband on the farm and raised her two children. Blizzard enjoyed gardening, flowers, her farm animals and quilting.

Survivors include a son, Thomas and Barbara of Pleasantville and two grandchildren: Joanne Blizzard of West Des Moines and Jeffrey Blizzard and Aife Crystal of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Richard; her sister, Vera Sellers and one brother, Leo Sellers.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Iowa.

Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton handled the arrangements.
