Well, maybe not, there are marriage records for two William Andrews, one in
1845 to Martha Beeman and Wm T Andrews, and one in 1840 for Wm F Andrews
and Elizabeth McGuire.  The first one would seem to be the family that your
Sellers was living with.  It may be that he was just hired on or taken in.

        I have been going through the Fayette Co Gen Soc’s early journals.
In addition to what is below, I found a couple of Sellers entries as
appraisers or clerks of estate sales (not copied).  Will continue to look
through the rest of my journals.  I used brackets for my comments.

Charles Chandler, son of John Chandler and Sally Ann Anderson, was born IL
m. Bond Co. Aug. 5, 1876 to Martha SELLERS.  He was living with his mother
in 1880 census, possibly a widower.  No other info.

Eakin/Daniels Family
Martha J. Daniels, daughter of Ewing Daniels and Elizabeth Eakin, was born
abt 1866 m. Joseph SELLERS.  In 1906, they were living Girard, IL.

L. J. [prob. Leonard J.] SELLERS and Levi Mumper [see marriage] were among
buyers at estate sale of Zadock Eakle March 26, 1875.  Widow was Missouri
Andros Eakle.  There was one child, Rosa May Eakle.

[I wonder if Eakle and Eakin are the same.]

Here are the remaining references to SELLERS in Fayette Co IL.  Note that I
also found a child named Benjamin Sellers in the household of  William
Andrews in the 1860 census.  Vandalia/Bear Grove area is right geography.
Do we already have that census entry?  I believe that I have posted some of
this before.

that all the land sold refers to land in Fayette County.

George Washington Pigg (s/o Rev. Elijah Pigg and Louisa Hull Gardner) b.
abt. 1839, d. 13 June, 1907, married 1 March 1878 in Fayette Co to Mrs.
Mary (Westner) Sellers, b. Christian Co.  She was the widow of John
Sellers.  By first marriage, she had a dau Effie Sellers b. ca 1874.  Effie
m. 14 Oct. 1891 Emery Causey, s/o Thomas and Sarah (Casey) Causey.  They
lived in Greenville on Winter Street.  (Note Wesner family bought and sold
land in Fayette same year as Leonard Jackson Sellers.)

Bellefountain :  John Dive had his first finger cut off by a lawn mower.
Dr. Sellars attended.

I believe most of these are relatives of Beverly Taylor through her
ancestor Melinda Sellers.  She believes that Melinda is a probable sister
of Benjamin and Leonard Sellers.  Beverly’s Eakle family is well
represented in Fayette County.  Believe Beverly  has posted her family
here.

James B. Sellers, Born 1869 at Ramsey* ILL.
Died March 30, 1917, at Mulberry Grove ILL.
Married April 25, 1890, at Mulberry Grove to
Josephine Striplin. Two children were born to
them, but both have passed away. Mr. & Mrs.
Sellers separated several years ago. She now
lives at Litchfield. ILL. He is survived by his
mother and a brother W. T.  Sellers of Mulberry
Grove ILL.
