Hello Jim,

The Brethren Church has a genealogy site and one of the contributors is
Merle Rummel. He has written about the Rummel name. Perhaps this will help.

My GGFather died in Middleburg,PA and is buried there in Franklin
County. I do not know where Mary Rummel Sellers is buried.  She lived in
Hagerstown MD after Geo. Sellers died in 1905. Harry A Sellers lived and
died near Clearspring MD which is near Hagerstown.
I do not have any idea where Geo W Sellers/Zellers was born in PA or where
his family came from..The other children lived in the Hagerstown vicinity,
Franklin cty PA or Washington cty,MD. Thanks for your reply to my
inquiry-----

Patching you thru to Marie, the Sellers web page guru.
But let's talk of Franklin Co,Pa,which has the disputed PA VS MD
Mason-Dixon stste line as a boundry.Franklin Co abt 1800[?]was cut from
Cumberland
Co,Pa, which was cut from Lancaster Co abt 1750.
Just south, and more Germanic was Washington Co,Md cut ,1776,from
Fredrick Co,Md cut 1744 from Prince George Co,Md/

Franklin Co may be an extention north of the Shenadoah Valley,of Va.
Salisbury Plains was the old name for the valley around Hagerstown,Md. I
know a German Reformed church [Salem] nw of Hagerstown's records survive.

Watch several spellings

I am trying to find information about my Great Grandfather (my mothers grandfather) and I wonder if or how DNA would come into play. Would my DNA compare to Sellers?
Thanks
