CHRIS. SELLERS

the son of Chris. and Susan Sellers, was born in Greene County,
Pennsylvania, June 9, 1839, and lived there until he reached his tenth year,
when in the spring of 1849, his parents removed to Morrow County, Ohio. Here
he was reared and educated, attending the school at Sparta. Enlisting in the
Union Army in July, 1862, he served for about three years in Company L, One
Hundred and Twenty-First Ohio Volunteer Infantry. His regiment was in some
of the hottest engagements of the war, and he was present at the battles of
Perryville, Lookout Mountain, Mission Ridge, and others. He also
participated in the capture of Atlanta, and was with Sherman in his famous
march to the sea. Thence he went northward to Washington, taking part in the
grand review, and was discharged at Columbus, Ohio, in the summer of 1865.
Returning home, Mr. Sellers remained till the following spring, when he
emigrated to Gentry County, Missouri, and engaged in teaching for several
years, finally purchasing the farm and settling where he now resides, in
section 13. He owns 205 acres of land, with good house, orchard, barn, etc.
He is a self made man, having amassed a comfortable little fortune, and at
the same time gained an enviable reputation for honesty and integrity.

[The Susan Sellers, his mother, must be the first wife of Christian Sellers,
Susannah Fry. The second wife is Sarah Braddock].

Hi Marie,  I've written a few things down about the Gentry county Missouri family.  Hopefully this will clarify some information on the Gentry county Sellers.
Today, I finally found the marriage of George A. Sellers to Cora Emmaline Glendenning, and found that they had a son prior to his death.

I've highlighted my additions in Red just so it's maybe a little bit more clear where they came from.  George R. Sellers and his family were "lost" in the 1860 & 1870 census reports due to spelling/transcription errors.  I found them a couple of years ago.  That was how I found out that George R. Sellers' wife's last name was Braddock (her father was living with them in 1870).  I've also found some errors in the "one world database" for my family, but I have no idea how to correct them.

Here you go....I'm also attaching this as a word document if you want to edit anything (and a PDF if you don't have word)

Thank you for everything,
Harriette

Sellers b 1867, died Oct 1895, at the present time, I cannot find a birth record of Otis, but in the 1900 census he is listed as the stepson of James Kier who was married to Mrs. Cora Sellers.

Victoria Sellers Athens, Gentry, Missouri abt 1860 Missouri White Head, both parents TN , WD, ALONE  (Ex-wife of Edwin Christian Sellers).  At the time of Edwin’s death they were listed as divorced.  So this would be Victoria Caroline Madden.
