Alice
the Sam O.you mentioned divorced 1888 from Mary Jane in Kemper
Co.Ms.
Sam was first married abt.1856 to Martha Jane Walters (could
be Mary Jane
?) Salina Sellers was 2nd wife, headstone says she was b.2-12-1833
d.3-30-1919.
James D.West b.AL.1841 (s/o William C.& Nancy Overstreet-West)
was in the
same Co.D 56th AL.Partisan rangers with the Samuel "Sam" O.b.AL.1831.
parents of this Sam O.(Braswell & Lucy (Lee) O.was in Clark co.1870
census.I
don't know if they moved or the county line moved, they all seem
to move
around a lot.
Betty in AL.
Jerry,
I think Pauline and I are interested in William
C.
Pridgen. I would be interested to know if his father was Joel
of NC. I
believe the 1850 census lists the father but we haven't been able to
find out
if Joel had two families. Joel settled in Clark Co., Ms in 1840
and had
several children. We just can't tie William C. into his line.
Joel married Sarah Autry in Ms and had one son and
four
daughters. Would love to know what you've found!
