=======
Early settlers traveled down the Ohio River to the area that is now Hamilton county by flatboat and in 1788 founded  Losantiville, which was later re-named Cincinnati.
Hamilton county, the second county carved out of the Northwest Territory,
was established in 1790, twelve years before Ohio attained her statehood. The county was named for Alexander Hamilton who     was the First Secretary of the Treasury, 1789-1795.  A small section of the county is in the Virginia Military District.

HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO DEED RECORDS, DEED BOOK B-1 (part 1)

It should be noted that at this early date, prior to 1803, Hamilton
County's boundaries included a large portion of southern Ohio. Many of
the mortgages to John Cleves Symmes were levied on at a suit of Gashem Gard
vs. John C. Symmes on October 19, 1803; however, some mortgages were
assigned to others. Terms followed by Symmes in disposing of his land were that
each purchaser was bound to begin improvements within two years, or forfeit
one-sixth of the land to whomever would settle thereon and remain seven
years.

12-26-1801 PETER SELLERS land = A166- Sec 1 Twn 3 Rn 4=
The list I checked shows Hamilton County is his residence. I believe that
S1-T3=R4 would put the land in Wayne Twp., Butler County, OH. (Butler wasn't made till 1803,msh=see below)

Mike and Amber Sellers [mikeamber@cox.net] = The land in
then Hamilton County in Range 4, Township 3, Section 1 was located just
northeast of Lebanon in present-day Warren County, Ohio, not Butler County.
Upon the creation of Warren County in 1803 the land fell within its borders.

I can definitely help with the first entry
listed that is dated 12-26-1801 for PETER SELLERS.
This is for PETER SELLERS, son of ADAM SELLERS of Rockingham County,
Virginia. Peter was born 1771 near McGaheysville, Virginia, and died from
Yellow Fever near Lebanon, Ohio, on 15 August 1807. Peter, son of Adam, was
one of the first Rockingham County Sellers to head for Ohio. The land in
then Hamilton County in Range 4, Township 3, Section 1 was located just
northeast of Lebanon in present-day Warren County, Ohio, not Butler County.
Upon the creation of Warren County in 1803 the land fell within its borders.
Peter, son of Adam Sellers, was also a grandson of Heinrich Zeller
(1704-1773) of Rockingham County, Virginia.
Hope that helps. Let me know if there is anything more I can do.

One possibility for Hannah Sellers: there was Hannah Sellers who was a
Presbyterian communicant in Lebanon, OH on October 13, 1814. I don't have
any more information about her, however.

In the same age range, a Benjamin Sellers m. Rachel Hageman February 7,
1822, in Warren County, OH records. Benjamin Sellers is listed owning $200
worth
of personal property in the 1826 tax duplicate of Warren Co., OH.

I haven't seen a marriage for Hannah.

==============
Frank is correct about the Benjamin Sellers-Rachel Hagerman marriage in
Warren County on 7 Feb. 1822, however, he is not the Benjamin Sellers of the
1813 Common Pleas record. The Benjamin Sellers who married Rachel Hagerman
was the son of John Sellers (1765 - 24 Nov 1839) and Henrietta Smith (Apr
1775 - 2 Dec 1843). John moved the family from Rockingham County, VA, to
Warren County, OH, in the early 1800s along with many other Sellers cousins
from R'ham County.
The Common Pleas Court record of 1813 appears to be for a guardian to be
assigned for the listed children of Benjamin, Hannah, and Sally. This
pretty much rules out it being for Benjamin Sellers, husband of Rachel
Hagerman and son of John and Henrietta (Smith) Sellers. The will of John
Sellers was filed 14 Dec 1839 in Warren County. And, though he did have a
son named Benjamin, none of his other 10+ children were named Hannah nor
Sally.

I would say from the additional data Marie posted of "1850 Dearborn is Benj
1798 OH and a Rachael Sellers married here in 1849, and 1860 BENJ 1796 OH
with wife Sarah and living with them appears to be her mother MARY REED 74
PA" that the Benjamin, Hannah and Sally in the 1813 Common Pleas court
record were likely of PA origin. Benjamin Sellers, son of John and
Henrietta (Smith) Sellers died in Warren County, OH, in 1848. There are no
other Benjamin Sellers in the Heinrich Zeller lines of Virginia having been
born in the 1796-1798 timeframe that I'm aware of.

Sorry I couldn't help us reveal an identity on this one. Will keep trying,
though.

He married Anna (Hayden) Korner in 1919 in Oxford,

He taught German (and other languages) at Hughes High School in
Cincinnati, and he also worked for the Enquirer newspaper.

He came to Cincy from Oxford OH in the early 20's, and then disappeared
about 1926 or 1927.

Thanks for any information.
