FROM DENNIS FDHaun@aol.com
Frederick Sellers
of Monroe County Ohio, I just thought that you might find the information
about Atkinson Sellers, and his mother Elizabeth (Sellers) Ullom and family
living with this Sellers family interesting. Since they were listed, as
coming from Germany, by there age listed, if they had, had children, they
were long moved away from there parents. I have found, as I know you have,
that by following the Sellers clan, from one location or State to another.
They all have one thing in common. " They either move into other family
relation homes, or near by there relation." If you noticed by the 1860
census, that the Ullom had moved to the same Twp. in Monroe County that
John
Sellers was living in.-- I have done the same with the 1810-1840 Green
County
census, that is, I have cross reference different family names, with our
Sellers family. And found some of them listed as living at the same census
address.  Well, that's all for now. Take care.  fdh.  Dennis H.

   From:
        FDHaun@aol.com

Hi Marie, I have a question for you, have you done any research on the
Frederick Sellers that was in the 1790 Census of Morgan Twp, Green County?
We
know that in said Census, it has him age 16+ and 6 M.? children under 16. &
1
F. I haven't found him listed in any other of Green County Census, my tax
records, that start's 1799, has just Christain and George Sellers, but the
tax records for 1800-1808 I do not have, but from 1808-1850, there is no
Frederick Sellers. (Was he relation to our Sellers clan?) The reason for me
asking is, David Sellers died in the year of 1837-38 in Center Twp Green
County. And we are told that his wife Elizabeth remarried a Mr. Elijah
Ullom
(date of marriage not told). only at sometime, they moved to Monroe County
Ohio. I was in Monroe County Ohio in 1996, doing research on George and
wife
Phoebe Sellers. While going though what papers I could find at the Court
house, ( it seems that they had a fire years back, and much information was
lost). and also looking at information at there library on the Sellers
name.
I came upon the name of a Frederick Sellers, age 79, from Germany, as will
as
his wife Barbara age 63 also from Germany, no children listed, I also came
across the name of Shardrach Sellers age 28, Pa. with wife Ann age 24 Pa.
and
children Thomas age 05. Pa and Elizabeth age 01, Ohio. No question about it
this was the son of our David. I did a little more research, and hear is
what
I found. Shadrack and his family were living at # 430 Jackson Twp Monroe
County. And this Frederick and wife Barbara Sellers were living at # 423
Jackson Twp. and listed living at this same address # 423 was a Ackerson
Sellers, Shadrack's brother, also living at the same address was Elizah W.
Ullom and wife, and a William Ullom, William is listed as one of the sons
of
Elijah Ullom, who married Widow Elizabeth Sellers. Were the Sellers (F.&B.
)
living in the Ullom house hold, or was this the Sellers house hold? The
1860
Census of Monroe Ohio tell us that Frederick had died, and Widow Barbara
Sellers was living at # 213 Jackson Twp. and there was one Jesse Ullmom
living at 222 Jackson Twp. but most of all the rest of the Ullmon had moved
to Perry Twp. Monroe Ohio. The only other Sellers listed for a Sellers, was
Phoebe Sellers (George's Widow. ) and that was another Twp. I check with
the
1840 Ohio Census, I found no Frederick Sellers listed. I did find that John
Sellers was living in Perry Twp. Monroe County in said year. I found that I
only have part of the 1850 Ohio Census for the Sellers name, and my 1860
Ohio
Census for Sellers, for County's and Twp. is blur, so I do not know if John
Sellers was living in Perry Twp, in those years. This Frederick Sellers was
born about 1770-71. Old enough for that Frederick of 1790 Census, but to
young to father 6 children, unless they were his brothers, and not his
children. Was this Frederick some relation of our clan, that David's Widow
had known, or knew about? If Shadrach daughter was a year old and born in
Ohio, just how long did these people live at Frederick's household.? Please
give me some feedback on what you think, maybe someone out there in web
land
might have some information about this Frederick and Barbara Sellers.  Good
Night.  fdh. Dennis.
