BRANCH,Potomac. Van Meters settled in the S BRANCH abt 1742. I have a
later Pvt HENRY VAN METER,in the same Pickaway company as a JACOB SELLERS
 Capt  Jacob SINN[?] Ensign Richard PRICE. Said Henry Van Meter likely m
a RENNICK,and moved to Champaign Co,Oh.
page 153,I have a  Capt James Rennick's Co-Pvt John Alkire,Absalom
Ward,Ashabel RENNICK-no SELLERS
I see no STREET. I do see a few SOUTHARD.
We have a min of WM ALKIRE,moved nw a few miles into Madison Co

These ALKIRE Names are ALL in the Hampshire/Frederick Co, VA records.I
have-
We Also have a GEORGE SELLERS here in 1750 and 1766 = Not same Branch of
LAND
but
possibly same as end up in Michael STUMPS area.
ALSO James SELLERS in 1754
AND I believe (from memory) ELIAS SELLERS fort - with Plaque

PICKAWAY Co, OH was ROSS CO before 1810 - land area where they lived would
tell us more - Believe Deer Creek twn is in south Pickaway Co and
Deerfield
twn,Ross Co.

WM ALKIRE born  1771 Hampshire Co, VA came thro ky ca 1794 (had son born
there) and to OH ca 1798 and 1800 Deer Creek = Ross Co then, Pickaway Co
now?

Some of these went to Madison/Franklin Co, OH

ATERS/ATORS came from VA to OH (Ignatius SOLLARS dau married a Jacob Ator)
Don't Know if we came thro KY
Don't Know if our Sellers came thro KY
NO kids born in KY OR we went Fast!

BUT, some of the families that lived close here in VA seem to be same as
came
to KY and OH.

AND in Hampshire/maybe Frederick Co, Va = MAUNUS ALKIRE on several
records!

WILL continue to research this family , Who Ever Named a Son MONOS SELLERS
in
ca 1785 va for a name sake, had to have known this family before Or about
That Time Period.

and Joseph Egbert appeared on the census of 9 Aug 1850 in Marion
Township Hancock Ohio Joseph, 42 farmer, born Pennsylvania, Nancy 38
born Ohio all children at home. She appeared on the census of 6 Jul 1860
in Marion Hancock, Ohio; 47.

I have several Ezekial MORRISes in my database but I think you are meaning
Ezekiel MORRIS who m. Mary O'NEIL ca 1769 in Frederick Co., VA. Ezekiel
d. September 24, 1822, and Mary died November 15, 1836, both in Pickaway
Co., OH. The above Greene Co., PA, names are in this line and I would be
most happy to share information.

Capt James Parson's company was paid off in 1775. There are
hints they served in Lord Dunmore's War of Sept-Nov,1774 and marched to
Pickaway Co,Ohio.
And they seemed to have enlisted within miles of
Moorefield,WV,where the South
Fork splits from the South Branch,Potomac.  We know from
Sandusky GENEALOGISTS
that Samuel Sandusky claimed Jonathan Sandusky's military
land warrent.
Their brother, James Sandusky,known for his 1786 station n e
Millersburg,Bourbon Co,Ky
was brother-in-law of Wm,of Jeremiah,Curl.   Lt Harmonious
Alkire's will was filed in Bourbon Co,Ky about 1800.

– “You said you saw the sale of Jeremiah Curl and wife, Mary
of 87 acres on Cedar Swamp to Henry Hougland and Cornelius Conner dtd. 8/11/1777,
but my copy of the same book gives the name “Morris Thomas” as the buyer – see
pg. 12 of the Sage & Jones book. Then, see pg. 63, you will see where Joseph
Yagar sells that same
piece of land, 87 acres on Cedar Swamp, to Jeremiah EWEL on
8/24/1772 (recorded on 3/9/1773).  EWEL is a misreading of Curl by the people who
did the transcribing for the book.  When I was in the courthouse in Hampshire
County some years ago, I was leafing through the early deed books and found that deed
was to Jeremiah Curl, as plain as day.  At any rate, we know that Jeremiah Curl
and wife Mary first [Mitts Round Top MT was mentioned-4 miles sw of
Moorefield,WV.
