Mr. and Mrs. Ahlas were married 49 years ago last June. The following children were born to the union. Henry, of Barnesboro; Mrs. Annie Sellers, of Carroll Township; Mrs. Charles Fragan and Mrs. Richard Lindemar, of Altoona; William, of Ebensburg; Vincent, of Buffalo, N.Y.; John, of Johnstown, and Jennie, at home.

grandchildren: James W. Howard, Allentown; Mrs. Karen Howard Huffman, Rockwood; Richard Horner, Califon, N.J.; and Douglas Horner, 207 Mabel St.; also four great-grandchildren.
