>From the Pennsylvania Archives Revolutionary War Military Abstract Card File (online). Note that the cards represent abstracted information that varies greatly. It lists members of the militia, the navy, and PA Continental line troops. It also includes names of those who were fined for not serving and a few who were either excused from duty or moved away. Most of the cards bear a note at the bottom that says that it either does or does not prove military service. Copies of the originals are NOT available by mail from the archives. I know this to be true since I tried to obtain originals for my "uncle" John King and my "grandfather" Richard King. I wanted a list of those serving with them in the once case where they served together. I was informed that someone must go in person to make copies. (I would be happy to pay, if anyone is available to do the job_please let me know.)
