I am seeking family members of John Avant Sellers.  He was born 1824 in NC
and
died 1882 in Newton Co., Tx.  Some referrences have his middle name as Evan
but tombstone has Avant.  He married Martha Ann Griner in 1840 Brainbridge,
Decantur Co., NC.(GA?,msh)  She was born 1817 and died  1884.  Have never connected to
their parents.
The couple settled in Georgia, Thomas Co. by 1844 and moved to Texas,
Newton
Co. by 1860.

there in the timber industry until it closed and then was company overseer

the land.
