According to the Hines family site at www.hinesgenealogy.org, the parents of Susan Finley were Martha Patsey HINES and Archibald FINLEY. They were married March 29, 1824, in Grainger county, TN. Bondsman: Joseph Renfro. Apparently married by Robert Gaines, J.P. Listed children for Martha Patsey Hines and Archibald Finley match those listed on 1850 Census with the addition of an "Unknown Finley" having been born & died between 1833 & 1839. "Patsey Finley" on 1850 Census is "Martha Finley" on 1860 Census for Grainger County.

I dont know if any of this will help but I have a Isaac Tipton Naff Collins
who was born in neighboring Greene County on June 23 1836 the only
information
I have on him is a marriage to Delcina Sellers on Dec 13 1854. However
I do know that his brother Uriah W Atkinson Collins married a Nancy Ann
Matilda Helton in Greene County in 1850. They were in Greene County for
the 1860 census but lived in Grainger County for the 1870 census. By the
mid 1880's they had moved to KY so I can't help alot in this area but if
you think there could be some connection I can put you in touch with some
other Helton and Collins researchers who might have additional names
available from this area.

I'm wondering if we as a group have marriage records for SELLERS marriages in Grainger County, Tennessee, for the latter half of the 1800s and into the 1900s? I see some listed at
http://www.sellers-sellars-sollars-zellars.net/tngraing.htm, and these go through 1858. I'm looking for marriage records for Sellers in Grainger County, and, more specifically, I'm looking for possible marriage records for the following children of Joel and Susan (FINLEY) Sellers:

1) John L. Sellers - Born April 1859; may have married a Martha P. Watson
2) Elizabeth Sellers - Born 1860; nfd
3) Margaret Allison Sellers - Born 1861; nfd

I have John and Henry traced into the early 1900s and still in Grainger County. The daughters I have traced through 1880, however, I lose track of them after that. I thought perhaps marriage records, if available, might help.
