Well, thank you for posting! I'm afraid I don't have information
great grandmother, BUT the NANCY CLEMONS (CLEMENTS) that married J.D. SIRMANS
also married my great-great grandfather DR. JOHN WARD SELLERS in Oct. 1870 in
CORYELL CO., TX. According to her gravestone in Katemcy, Mason Co., TX, she
was b. Aug. 31, 1849 in GA, & d. Feb 14, 1899. When she married my DR. JOHN
WARD SELLERS, he was a widower with 5 children still at home. To my
knowledge, she and John never had any children of their own. I really
appreciate your posting the little bit about her & I will do some looking for
more of her data even though she was a step-great-great grandmother. Her
gravestone indicates she must have been a very good stepmother to the SELLERS
children. The stone has a sentiment that reads, "A dear, loving mother."
Unforturnately, I have not been able to find a stone for DR. JOHN WARD SELLERS
at FORT GLORIETA, NM where he died and was buried after having gone out there
to visit his oldest son, DR. MARVEL WHITNEY SELLERS, and family.
I would surely appreciate your sending me any more information about
(CLEMONS/CLEMENTS)SIRMON SELLERS that you might possibly have or could
possibly point me to.
