I wondered if any of you might be able to help me:

My husband's Great-grandmother was Winifred Zeller (1873-1959), she
married Alexander Henry O'Brien (1870-1966).  She had a sister named
Lillian who remained unmarried and a sister named Katherine (Definitely
with a "K") who married Joseph Eicher Ramseyer but she died young and
had no children.  I'm fairly sure they also had a brother named Paul (He
may have been a close cousin).  My information has her parents as
Millengthen Zeller and Nancy Reese (1847-1923).  I believe Millengthen
immigrated here to Ohio but don't know from where.

Thank you for your time,

Valerie Hulderman

VALERIE - Give us some PLACES in OHIO =
So our SELLERS/ZELLERS can find you

Then check out that county for census/marriages, and Where Born or Came From=
and Millengthen Zeller will be on an 1850 CENSUS with his parents-

Share what you can/have-
Thanks, marie, iowa

My husband's great grandmother was Winifred Zeller (1873-1959) .  A
handmade genealogy shows her as being from Tiffin, Ohio.  She had two
sisters (Lillian and Katherine) and a brother (or possibly cousin) named
Paul.  All the searching I have done has turned up nothing!  I don't see
any such family anywhere in Ohio at that time period. Her parents are
listed as Millengthen and Nancy Reese.  I have confirmed Nancy's death
in Lucas County, and I have confirmed Winifred's marriage to Alexander
OBrien (who died in Ashtabula, 1966)

Can any one help me?

Thanks in advance

Subject:
Re: Zellers from Ohio - late 1800's

VALERIE -Thanks - We have some SELLERS,etc that have worked in these OH
counties and
perhaps, they will take the time to look up this census for us.     YES,
these records are
available. Mine are soundex for SELLERS. and the ZELLERS in an index only.
The Allen Co
genealogy society would have or you can order in to read at your library.
Or if you live
in OH close to a a LDS center they can order in for you to read. IF we
don't get a reply.

There was a LILLIE SELLERS married  a MARTIN in Seneca Co,OH - I need to
find my papers
and post this info.
We have a Seneca Co, Oh web page where our members send info they have
extracted from
docemented sources.
SOME of these SELLERS/ZELLERS seem to have went into Canada and Michigan,
probably
depending on their jobs,etc.
Wonder if this could be why we can't find all these people.
http://www.netins.net/showcase/sellerfamily/ohseneca.htm
Send any info you find - appreciate your answers and will post to those
counties.

Hi, it turns out that we don't have this particular film at our library,
but I will order it.
It sounds like a promising lead.

The Lillian you found isn't ours, ours was unmarried.

I did send for the death certificate on Nancy Reese Zeller so maybe I'll
have something to
share when that comes back.  but, until then, we'll keep looking - thank
you.

I need information on Zellers of Putnam county and Allen county, in
Ohio.

I have the following information:

Andreas (Andrew, born abt 1805) and Catharina (born abt 1806) ZELLERS
had William (born abt 1837), Harriet (born abt 1840 - married Nimrod
SMITH, 12-25-1855), John Jacob (born 7 Nov 1842 - married Eliza
ASHTENFELTER, 10-13-1864), Melanchthon E. (born abt 1845 - married Nancy
REESE, 12-13-1866), and Martha (born 1847 - married Grovener E CHAPMAN,
2-28-1871), also possibly Nancy YOUNG (born abt 1829, had a child named
Lewis YOUNG, born bet Oct-Nov 1849).  They settled in Putnam county,
Ohio before the 1850 census.  Andrew is from Germany and I think his
wife was born in PA or maybe even VA (can't read it on the census).  I
believe they stayed in Putnam until they died but haven't yet proven
that.

John Jacob (aka Jacob J) and Eliza had a baby girl on Jan 6, 1874 in
Putnam.

Malenchton  and Nancy REESE were married in Putnam but Nancy was born in
Allen county, OH on June 4, 1845 and although she died in Toledo, Lucas
County, OH on June 3, 1923 she was buried with her son (Earl ZELLER,
born 1879, died 7-Mar-1944) in the Maple Grove, Richland Twshp, Allen
County, OH cemetery.  There is also a Malengths ZELLER listed in the
1880 census index for Richland Twshp, Allen, OH on p.342d but I haven't
yet found anyone who can look this one up for me {hint, hint  :-) }

I also have accumulated some information that I have not connected to
our family line yet but am fairly sure there is a connection because of
the location and name spelling:

1)  Peter ZELLERS married Genevery GEORGE, 6 Mar 1875 in Putnam, OH.

2)  W. T. Zeller married Anna T GARDNER, 22 Jan 1884 in Putnam, OH.

3)  Mary Jane ZELLAR, born 20 Jun, 1897, married Perry Elmer (Harry)
TIMBERS on 29 Apr, 1918 in Putnam.

4)  CEMETERY: Old Mennonite/Old Swiss in Richland Twsp, Allen Co, OH
          ZELLER , Mrs. Fred       b: 1819        d: 5-Nov-1896
                     Rev. Fredrich   b: 3-Jul-1820  d: 7-Sep-1903
